Bonham Exchange

Im a disabled veteran who came here as the last stop with my first Friday cosplay pub-run group. I’m with at least 20 participants and my personal friends. Towards the end of the night, those of us drinking began calling it quits and ordering ride-shares home. I went to the security officer, located in the back near the coat check and restrooms, and asked how to get to the front doors. since I got a bit turned around from dancing and drinking all night, that’s the way I came in, so that’s how I want to leave. Without hesitation, security grabs my arm and throws me out the back door. Slamming it behind me. I’m now looking into a dark, wet, and cold, alleyway. I watch enough movies to know nothing good ever happens back here, Or I meet a ninja turtle. But I don’t want to gamble the odds. So I open the door and say “sir I’m not going that way, that’s not how I came in. How do I get to the front door?”. He then proceeds to shove me out the back door, causing me to fall over and get soaking wet in mysterious substances. Now infuriated, I demand that I be escorted to the safety of the front door where my Uber is actively waiting for my arrival. This boy escalates the situation as though I was an active shooter. Using his full might to try and get me down on the ground to cuff me. Mind you, I’m a power lifter and with a strong build. I’m telling this kid to calm down it’s not that serious. Im even demonstrating my strength to him, to show him this is not that big of a situation and I’ll kindly comply for his peace of mind if he calms down. I let him cuff me so he feels safer and I can show him im trusting him so maybe we can start over. ALAS, that was not the situation, he began to body slam me to the ground and pinning his knee on my neck. Now im panicking, because of this fool with a plastic badge. I can’t breathe and im starting the really lose it at this point. Mind you im a vet with ptsd, and this is setting me off. While im on the ground, the owner decided to show his face and tell me im banned from his establishment. As if I want to go back. SAPD shows up and abducts me from my location and won’t tell me anything.

***UPDATE*** I'VE BEEN GOING 2 THE BONHAM SINCE I WAS 18. WHAT U NEED 2 REALIZE IS CHANGE IS ALWAYS DIFFERENT. 4 BETTER OR WORSE. WELLS ARE $2 BUT $3 U CALL IT B4 11PM. MAY TAKE SOME TIME TO GET THEM AS WELL. THE LINE OUTSIDE TENDS TO WRAP AROUND THE STREET AT TIMES. ON SATURDAYS ENERGY 94.1 PLAYS REALLY GOOD MUSIC. FROM DANCE TO HIP HOP. THIS CLUB IS VERY DIVERSE. A LOT OF STR8'S, BUT THIS CLUB IS A GAY ESTABLISHMENT. FREE B4 10PM FOR 21 AND UP. $5 BUCKS AFTER. UNDER 21 IS $15, MAYBE 20. LIGHT SYSTEM IS GREAT BUT STILL LACKS SOME GRAPHICS LIKE LASERS OR THAT THING THAT SHOOTS COLDNESS??? ANYWAYS, 3 LEVELS OF SO MUCH FUN!!!

Been here twice..won $50 (it was a tie) at a booty shaking contest on a Friday, second time I went was a Saturday and was there all night! Totally my go-to club in San Antonio. â

I love this building!

Overall I really liked this place although I didn't stay long. I love the giant rooms and the old style this place carries. It reminds me of a good movie scence for a vampire movie. Dracula's coffin was downstairs I swear. Its almost too much space due to not having it all accommodated for but still is nice. It has a cool but narrow walkway alongside the dance floor, cheap cover, good drinks and a isolated pool table. As a pool player I run into a lot of poorly placed tables. The couches in this "lounge" area should be trashed for stools and tables imo. The crowd was very mixed although I believe there was more straight couples there than anything. The 2nd floor leaves much to be desired but it's soo much room up there! Very rustic and different 1 1/2 thumbs up!

Visiting from South Carolina, fun place and great people. The drinks were not that strong but I will be coming back.
