Silver Dollar Saloon

This used to be the place to be back in the day. Happenin' crowd and great music!! Now all they play is spanish music which is ok...but they need to switch it up a little. Everytime I would walk in that bar, it would REED of vomit and urine. Gross!! I havent been there in a great while. It actually moved locations which is great! No more nasty smells!!

I'm not sure what the other reviewers mean but this place is really really disgusting. I am not by any means a neat freak, but really they need to get a mop and a bucket of bleach here. If you're just a total slut this might be for you though, the last time I was there a guy was getting a bj in one of the third world bathrooms.

it's a blue collar club. not for the fancy lads. although recently their music has grayed out, it's definitely the best place to DANCE cumbias, tejano, merengue, salsa. Yes, unfortunately it's not the prettiest, smells pretty ranky, and second hand smoke central! but there's no pretentious people, u don't feel looked down by the staff cuz ur gay (like at the Saint). don't be expecting pretty boys, most of the guys there are REAL and less flamboyant.

I love this bar! It is the definitive Latin Bar in San Antonio. There are lots of very macho acting Mexican men with cowboy hats and big belt buckles. If you are really into that like I am then this is the place to be. The music is Latin flavored with cumbias and some country thrown in. Later in the evenings there is more dance type hip hop. Even if you don't know Spanish (I don't)it's very pulsating and fun. I've had many fun times at this bar and I absolutely love the macho men. Not knowing Spanish never affected me when eyeing the hot men.
