All submissions will be presented to the community on Friday,
September 30th from 7pm-10pm. This event is graciously hosted by the AP Art Lab and S.M.A.R.T. at 1906 S. Flores
St. SATX 78204 located in Southtown the Arts District. This event is free and open to the public.
Come see all of San Antonio Youth's artwork, meet the 12 winners, learn more about local LGBT and youth resources, listen to some great music and spoken word, and grab some food from a food truck or two.
From the applications received, 12 finalists will be chosen from each age group to be used in all of UNIFY's
printed and on-line materials, their Sexual Health curriculum, and will be displayed in the lobby, cafe, and/or testing
labs.
UNIFY is a SAMHSA (Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration) funded program in San Antonio, Texas. Their population of focus is with LGBT and ally minority youth, ages 13-24, who are at-risk for HIV, Hep C, and substance use. They offer free HIV testing, and will soon launch a LGBT-inclusive sexual health curriculum that will be available to youth, their families, and providers.
