GREAT DRINK PRICES

I first stumbled onto this bar because my best friend used to bartend there. Its not the nicest bar but one of the friendliest. I met people there whom I am still friends with. The prices are great! Only 1 setback....they need a lock on the women's bathroom door. I hated going to the bathroom thinking somebody was going to walk in on me doing my business.

Skip San Antonio

Ugly guys - I guess all the good lookers married off or died, or moved; clicky crowd, and who cares. This bar is OK tho' but not worth the trip. Not a single Anglo over 40 with any looks or social skills. Not the SA I remember in the early 80's.

We going to the same place?

I stummbled upon this place recently by chance and I am so glad I did. Sure, it's not the fanciest place out there and it could even be refered to as a "dive". But, It's my favorite dive. The staff are some of the friendliest people I have met. After my first few visits I don't think there has been a single time where I was not greeted by name as I walked through the door. The regular crowd are all some pretty great people as well. The Annex is like your trusty old pick-up truck, it may not be all that nice to look at (weather beaten, dented and sporting more than a few rust spots) but It's reliable, sturdy, has character and will always get you where you need to go at the end of the day. So while it may not be for everyone, for some of us, it's home.

Were those men or martians?

This is the worst place I have ever been to. The men looked horrible sober or drunk. The place smells like pee, rent a movie and stay home........I can't believe I had to actually give this place one star.......hey, they didn't have the zero one...

Bad Scene

This town has the absolute worst gay scene I have ever experinced. Nasty acting, unattractive people with constant fights in the parking lot. Lots of drunks being escorted out of the bar. Absolutely scary drag queens and cross dressers. Only one handsome Anglo in the whole bar and he was the bartender in the "leather bar."
